trans-o-flex sponsors printing costs of a children’s non-fiction book about diabetes

trans-o-flex has covered the printing costs of 5,000 euros, so a picture book about children’s diabetes will soon be published in its first edition.

“This sponsorship shows once again in a completely different way how strongly trans-o-flex, as a specialised logistics service provider, is connected to the health sector,” says Wolfgang P. Albeck, CEO of trans-o-flex.

In the picture book “Ich bin Luca” (I am Luca), illustrator Sarah Bethke, who herself was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of ten, educates people about the disease and awakens an understanding for the feelings of people with diabetes. “With practical examples, this book also makes it easier to adjust one’s own sugar,” says Bethke. “Until now, there was no such book for diabetics. I have now designed this one with compassion, knowledge and experience.”

The picture book is not least intended for those affected who have to deal with the disease psychologically in order to be able to successfully achieve a life with good values and thus achieve a better quality of life. With the main character Luca, the author chooses a child-friendly narrative style and a surprising perspective. Luca is in fact a clever fox.
