trans-o-flex Ident: Secure delivery thanks to consignee identification

Do you send sensitive or high-value items? Would you like them to be delivered exclusively to a specific person or a specific location? Are you aiming to avoid expensive and time-consuming follow-up processes and to make your transport chain even more secure? You do not want to use expensive couriers? And very importantly: consignee satisfaction and security are your top priorities? In this case, the Ident service from trans-o-flex is exactly the right thing for you. Because with the Ident service you ensure that your goods arrive directly and without delay exactly where they are supposed to and are needed.

The service is available in various forms – as a solution for app users and as an alternative solution to meet different security needs. However, the data accompanying the consignment always plays the main role, because it is used to determine whether a parcel or a pallet can be delivered or not. Data management forms the basis of this service and thus enables secure delivery down to the last metre.

Solution for app users

1. Handing over
The consignor hands over a package to us, and the accompanying data record contains a reference to the Ident service. trans-o-flex randomly generates an alphanumeric Ident code and makes it available to the consignee in the form of a QR code via the trans-o-flex insight app. The consignee can use the QR code to identify themselves when accepting the delivery. The data set with the reference to the ident service must be transferred to trans-o-flex via XML interface.

2. Network
We process the electronic data and deliver the physical consignment to the consignee.

3. Delivery
On delivery, the driver scans the consignment so that the goods can be handed over to the consignee. In the case of Ident deliveries, the driver is automatically informed on the handheld device that the consignee must identify themselves with an Ident code.

4. Receipt
If the consignee can identify themselves via the trans-o-flex insight app with the ID code (“Generate QR Code” function), they will be allowed to take delivery of consignment and acknowledge receipt with a signature.

Alternative solution

1. Handing over
The consignor hands over a package to us, whose accompanying data record contains an additional identification code determined by the consignor. The consignor themselves provide this code to the consignee as a QR code. The code can be sent to the consignee by e-mail (as a PDF file) or by post. The consignee can use the QR code to identify themselves when accepting the delivery. The data set with the identification code must be transferred to trans-o-flex via XML interface.

4. Receipt
If the consignee can identify themselves with the Ident QR code provided by the consignor, they will be allowed to take delivery of the consignment and acknowledge its receipt by signature.

On request, your trans-o-flex contact person will provide you with instructions on how to create the Ident code.

Questions and answers about Ident-Service:

In the solution for app users, we generate a random alphanumeric Ident code for you. This code is available to your consignee upon delivery in the form of a QR code on the trans-o-flex insight app.
Validity: This code is used once for the delivery of the consignment.

In the alternative solution, you define the alphanumeric Ident code yourself. On request, your trans-o-flex contact person will provide you with instructions on how to create the code. You integrate this code each time into the consignment data record of an Ident consignment and make it available to the consignee as a QR code (see question 2 for more information).
Validity: The code remains valid until you make a change and send the new QR Code to your consignee. You can change the code as often as you like. With every change, you should bear in mind that the consignee must be in possession of the current code before delivery, otherwise no delivery can be made.

In the solution for app users, the Ident code is transmitted to your consignee via the trans-o-flex insight app in the form of a QR code. This requires that the consignee is a user of the trans-o-flex insight app (click here to download).

In the alternative solution, the consignee receives the Ident code from their consignor. Consignors can choose the communication channel and form themselves. For example, the code can be sent to the consignee by e-mail (as a PDF file) or by post. The consignee must print out this QR code and keep it ready for delivery. On request, your trans-o-flex contact person will provide you with instructions on how to create the code.

If the consignee is unable to identify themselves with the QR code, the driver will not be able to deliver the consignment. The goods will be taken back and stored in our special security area. The consignor is automatically notified about this via the customer portal mytof.de and can decide on how to proceed.
