Laying of the foundation stone for our new logistics centre

In the town of Wildenfels near Zwickau, trans-o-flex celebrated the start of construction of its new transshipment centre earlier this week. A highly efficient and eco-friendly sorting centre is being built on a 30,000 square metre site at a cost of tens of millions of euros, setting environmental standards: small footprint coupled with high handling capacity, heavy-duty thermal insulation, natural cooling, rainwater infiltration and charging stations for electric vehicles. “We also have our sustainability goals in mind for every new building that increases the efficiency and capacity of our networks,” said CEO Wolfgang P. Albeck at the laying of the foundation stone. Wildenfels is scheduled to start operations in spring 2022. Including drivers employed by transport partners, up to 150 people will work from the site.
