Federal Ministry of Health invites trans-o-flex to provide input

Can the safety of medicines and patients be guaranteed by logistics systems that neither offer active temperature-controlled transport nor measure or document the temperature of transported medicines? What responsibility do transport service providers bear within the pharmaceutical logistics chain, and how should they be monitored? The Federal Ministry of Health (BMG) invited representatives from major express and parcel delivery services to Berlin to discuss these and other issues relating to pharmaceutical logistics. The trans-o-flex position was presented by Managing Director of Sales Eugen Günther. His conclusion: “We welcome the fact that discussions are currently taking place at a political level on how pharmaceutical logistics should be regulated and monitored in the future, and we are happy to be able to contribute our experience from five decades of pharmaceutical logistics. From our perspective, patient welfare must come first. We therefore advocate logistics solutions that ensure medicines do not lose their effectiveness during transport.”
