Second energy audit successfully passed

trans-o-flex has successfully passed its second energy audit according to DIN EN 16247-1. For some years now, companies of a certain size have been required to commission an independent company to analyse their resource use. Similar to an ISO certification, auditors from the BFE Institut für Energie und Umwelt GmbH (Institute for Energy and Environment) have therefore assessed the amount of resources trans-o-flex consumes and how energy consumption can be reduced. Specifically, the sites in Nuremberg, Alzenau, Bruchsal, Weinheim, Augsburg and St. Ingbert within the trans-o-flex Express network were audited and proposals developed for reducing energy costs for electricity, heating or fuels. The list of suggestions ranges from the installation of motion detectors for lighting control in little-used storage areas to regular tyre pressure checks on vehicles. “We are now looking into which proposals can be implemented when and where,” says trans-o-flex CEO Wolfgang P. Albeck.
