trans-o-flex levies a variable rate, the diesel surcharge, on the net-freight price (including certain surcharges) to take account of fluctuations in the price of diesel.

The surcharge is updated on the first day of each month and applies to all shipments invoiced in that month. The amount of the surcharge is based on the consumer prices for diesel fuel in Germany (including taxes and duties) published by the Directorate General of the European Commission. These are published weekly in the Oil Bulletin and are available on the European Commission’s website at https://energy.ec.europa.eu/data-and-analysis/weekly-oil-bulletin_en. If the price of diesel fuel is published on the European Commission’s website with a delay, there may also be corresponding delays at trans-o-flex. The surcharge for the current month is based on the published diesel price in Germany in the penultimate week of the previous month.

The surcharge applies to all national and international shipments and is added to the net-freight price including all ancillary costs (except tolls and CO2).

trans-o-flex reserves the right to change or amend the calculation methods at any time and without prior notice.

It is at the discretion of trans-o-flex to determine the amount and duration of the diesel surcharge.

By handing over the consignment, the sender undertakes to pay the applicable diesel surcharge.
