Sustainability as a fundamental principle – responsibility in logistics and healthcare

The aim of trans-o-flex is to embed sustainability commitment at all levels and in all areas. That is why the employees in the ESG department ensure that the ESG goals are anchored holistically and strategically throughout the entire trans-o-flex group and communicated to all relevant stakeholders. Because we organize the entire logistics chain in the road transport sector, from procurement to fulfillment, it is also our duty to take responsibility for the impact of our business activities. Since trans-o-flex makes a significant contribution to maintaining medical care in Germany, we have a particular responsibility in the healthcare sector. The principle of prevention before reaction also applies to this area for trans-o-flex.

Our code of conduct

trans-o-flex our code of conduct

We have formulated our responsibility towards suppliers and employees, our customers, investors and the public and laid it down in our code of conduct. It provides the foundation for ethical, social and legally correct behavior of the company and all our employees. Our Code of Conduct follows generally recognized legal standards, the ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, anti-corruption laws and the Declaration of Human Rights. In addition, we have committed ourselves to the goals, requirements and guidelines of the UN Global Compact in our business activities.

As a guideline for our decisions and actions, the code of conduct sets out binding minimum standards for responsible behavior within the company, towards business partners and the public. By raising awareness for legal risks, it helps to avoid legal violations. The topics it contains cover the entire spectrum of our daily work with all its facets. These include awarding and accepting contracts, customer focus and profitability, equal opportunities and human rights, occupational health and safety, quality and reliability. The code of conduct forms a binding framework for action for all trans-o-flex employees, regardless of their tasks or position. The code of conduct is regularly updated and is available for everyone to download from the trans-o-flex website.

Code of conduct for suppliers

When the contract is concluded, we oblige our suppliers through our supplier code to comply with trans-o-flex’s ecological goals and ethical values and to implement the same standards in their own supply chain.

This way, we ensure that our principles and values are consistently anchored in the supply chain we organize. Our understanding of respect for human rights, equal opportunities and non-discrimination, fair working conditions, occupational health and safety, unauthorized payments, trade secrets, data and environmental protection is precisely formulated in the code of conduct for suppliers. We regularly review the contents of the code of conduct for suppliers and update them if necessary.
