He has been CEO since April 2017. It is now definite that Wolfgang P. Albeck will remain CEO of trans-o-flex for the next three years. His contract, which was due to expire in March 2022, has been extended early until 31 March 2024. “It was primarily thanks to Albeck’s implementation of two strategic decisions that trans-o-flex regained the trust of its customers after difficult years and also and especially proved itself during the coronavirus crisis,” says Christoph Schoeller from the trans-o-flex shareholder group of the Amberger and Schoeller families. “On the one hand, that was the uncompromising focus on quality. On the other hand, the profile as an express service and as a provider of industry-specific logistics solutions was reinforced, impressively demonstrating its system relevance for the supply of pharmaceuticals in Germany.” The company has been back in the black since Albeck joined the management and increased its turnover by four per cent to 515 million euros in the difficult year of the 2020 coronavirus pandemic.
“The longer I’m at trans-o-flex, the more I enjoy working here because I see the progress we are making,” says Albeck. “My goal is to get the company, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, in such good shape for the future that trans-o-flex will continue to delight its customers, employees and shareholders for the next 50 years.” In addition to Albeck, Michael Schmidt, who is responsible for finances and administration, continues to be part of the management of trans-o-flex.
