This new service, called trans-o-flex avis, is the result of a representative recipient survey carried out by the trans-o-flex Logistics Group. According to the survey, the majority of recipients prefer to be notified of the delivery of their shipments. Thanks to trans-o-flex’s internally developed new shipment control feature, it is now possible to put this request into practice. "As the trans-o-flex software is able to save and control individualised additional services for each shipment, it was possible to find a comfortable, secure and customer-friendly solution”, says Kai Schmuck, Managing Director Sales & Marketing of the trans-o-flex Group. In compliance with the German Data Protection Act, the new service ensures the protection of personal recipient data, such as mobile phone numbers or e-mail addresses. In addition to this, it also helps to prevent that recipients be woken up in the middle of the night because their mobile phones notify an incoming text message. At the same time, this additional service is very easy to integrate in the customer’s normal data transfer procedures. "In order to use trans-o-flex avis, you just provide your mobile phone number or e-mail address when you send us your data", explains Schmuck. The additional information is saved in the production data as an e-mail or text message service. The programme then checks automatically, whether or not a service has been allocated to a specific shipment, and, if this is the case, also performs it. In order to ensure that nobody is disturbed by an incoming text message during the night, a time frame from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. has been set, during which no text will be sent. Schmuck: "As we have organised trans-o-flex avis as an additional service in the programme, the specific e-mail address or mobile phone number - although it can be clearly allocated to the corresponding shipment data - cannot be traced back and is not shown in the shipment information.” About trans-o-flex:
