Logistic specialist for the healthcare market is not only given the ISO 9001 certificate but is also confirmed to meet the GDP guidelines for the pharmaceutical industry
Weinheim, 21st December 2011 - trans-o-flex's subsidiary ThermoMed has not only successfully passed its re-certification but has also expanded its quality management system with a focus on the pharmaceutical companies' specific customer requirements. BSI Management Systems und Umweltgutachter Deutschland GmbH certified that ThermoMed's quality management complies with the ISO 9001 regulations. At the same time, the auditors confirmed for the first time that ThermoMed also meets the Good Distribution Practices (GDP) guidelines, which are very important for the pharmaceutical industry.
"For us as a specialist in serving the pharmaceutical and healthcare market, meeting the GDP guidelines has been a matter of course for many years now", explains Carsten Glos, Managing Director of trans-o-flex ThermoMed GmbH. trans-o-flex ThermoMed's new certificate is valid for three years. After that period, a complete re-certification audit has to be performed. A yearly re-audit is carried out in addition to this. Among the locations audited were the two hubs in Kassel and Baunatal as well as ThermoMed’s warehouses in Berlin and Alzenau.
